The Festival/Program of the 1st Sustainable Food Chain World Summit as the first of its kind - built on a professional world conference, trade fair and consumer's forum - in an envisaged three-year series of events is over now.

The next event on Milk and Eggs, , the products made thereof as well as the major users of these products, i.e. confectioneries and pasta producers, is on its way. Hence - besides organising conferences and popular scientific presentations - we don't act rashly when putting up the notice: WANTED! The world's and, in particular, Hungary's best milk and dairy products, egg and egg products, confectionery products and pastas!

However, the meat chain will not be consigned to oblivion, either, as not even 2011 will pass without the presentation of new products and developments! This means that 2011 will already be the second time for us to look for the World's and Hungary's best meat and meat products!

Now and in the future we intend to assist the promotion of the best domestic products in the world and Hungary through the professional efforts made by the European Food Chain Parliament, an organisation standing for the interests of regulators, scientific organisations, businesses and consumers alike.

The 10th Jubilee Meat Hygiene and Meat Inspection World Conference was the central event of the 1st Sustainable Food Chain World Summit. Once registered, you can download the presentations in written format from our website. Besides, you are welcome to visit our videotheque that offers a complete set of every presentation's sound and video recordings both in Hungarian and English!

Test your knowledge! Learn by the open conference!

We have assigned a conference training course to the World Summit's subjects. Please, follow our speakers, listen to their presentations, read and analyse the written materials. And then - after registration and passing an exam - you will be appointed a "sustainable food chain rapporteur", provided you have successfully completed the test sheets that will come up by a click on "Exam" in the Menu (the test sheet is expected to be accessible as of 15 September 2010).

The attendees of the World Summit put together the keynote document of "Budapest Charta" on the sustainable food chain, thereby getting the ideas and thoughts of the Charta rolling so that the final Charta, with the relevant explanations, can be adopted in 2011 as a result of the seven-member international committee's work.

Those who could not attend the Contest of Meat and Meat Products - or could, but feel like evoking their pleasant memories - can also find out the results and feel the atmosphere of the Contest by looking at a photo show.

The "Eat Local, Think Global" Market was a key event of the series. The domestic products were propagated in a real festival mood

Even Her Excellency, Mrs Schmittné Katalin Makray, the wife of the President of the Hungarian Republic, visited the Market!

Soon our website will also feature the film that was made soon after the visit of Mr József Birinyi, the Chairman of the Parliament's Hungaricum Work Group!
